You were the person I idolized the most
I had you on a pedestal so high
That even the Angel’s above
Knew your name
Yet, your love…
Your love was paper-thin.
Throughout the decades
I gave all that I had
Sacrificing everything in my life
For your well-being and happiness
What did I get in the end?
An outsider whispering sweet lies
As they plotted my demise.
Your betrayal and lack of compassion cut deep
Like a sharp blade piercing through my soul
I watched as you joined in on the blame game
Playing the victim while smearing my name.
It was painful to see
Slowly diminishing every memory
The last ounce of respect I had for you
The bitter hint of devotion
Dissolving into thin air.
These scars on my heart will eventually heal
The pain you inflicted will disappear
Yet, I can not say the same for you
You’re so caught up in your web of deception
You’ve pushed away everyone who cared.
Still, I wish you well
